Let me start by saying that Putnam County has always been my home... Go Cavs, Go Bees, Go Wildcats and Wings Up!

I graduated from Cookeville High in 1989 and attended Tennessee Tech University as a Business major. During this time, I worked for a local hotel which led to a career of 20 plus years in the hotel and hospitality industries. I was promoted to General Manager and eventually became an Area manager of two hotels in Murfreesboro, TN. While working in Murfreesboro, I served on the Board of the Rutherford County Hospitality Association and was the Board President in 2008. My hotel teams were often recognized as being at the top of their brand and received multiple awards for customer service/satisfaction. From there, I spent two years as a Regional Manager over 11 hotels in Tennessee, Texas, and Florida.

For the last ten years, I have managed Community Homeowner Associations here in Middle Tennessee. I serve as a management representative between the homeowners and the HOA Board of Directors. I work with and advise the Board of Directors on all administrative duties of the HOA. This involves managing and negotiating contracts, as well as coordinating, planning, and leading homeowner meetings. In addition, I have served as Minster of Music at Hampton's Crossroads Baptist for the last 16 years. In 2022, I was elected to serve on the Putnam County School Board.
 
I have been happily married to my wife, Karen Ledbetter, who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for 28 years. We have five children: Matthew (Emma), Greg, Nathan, Darya, and Natalie. In June, Matthew and his wife welcomed their first child and our first grandchild, baby Clayton!

I believe in transparency, accountability, and hard work. My management experience will help me lead the county clerk's office in providing the highest levels of service to our county. Furthermore, I pledge to bring a fresh and positive approach to running this office.
